I have a mechanical engineering, design and manufacturing background and attended Henan University of Science and Technology in China. I have been working in the engineering field for more than 30 years.

In 2010, I joined EnergyOr Technologies, a Canadian company located in Montreal, that developed lightweight and compact PEM fuel cell systems for drone applications, and have focused on both fuel cell stack and system level development.

I joined the Plug Power team in May 2019, when EnergyOr was acquired. Working as part of the UAV/Aerospace engineering group, I am so proud of our technical achievements, which we have spent so much of our time and energy to develop. I hope the different versions of our fuel cell technology will apply worldwide for drone and aerospace applications in the future.

Kimberly McBride, Engineering Change Manager, Latham, NY

Ever since I started at Plug, there has always been general can-do spirit. There have been times that projects and deadlines seem daunting, but the team somehow pulls together to make something awesome. There are all types of personalities, but one thing seems to be true across the board; people at Plug truly care about the products, and general quality of their work. I am in a unique position where I get to see all of our products and get to interface with all types of engineering, and there is never a dull day. I feel lucky to be part of a team that is so dynamic, and for the fact that every day is something new and exciting.

Larry Pitts, Director of Engineering Design, Latham, NY

I have been at Plug Power for almost 24 years and continue to be inspired by the amazing people I work with. They push me every day to be better at what I do. I also love that I trust my colleagues to do their part, and our leadership to make honest decisions based on our present, our future and the well-being of our employees. That is rare, and I am grateful to be a part of it.

I could be designing something like motorcycles or guitars, but what we do every day is very needed at this point in history. Our mission and products can solve so many of the world’s problems. There are not many people outside of Plug Power who can say that.

We all have the kind of job where our grandchildren could someday brag about how we changed the world. That is why I am so Proud to work at Plug Power.
