Plug is revolutionizing the power and energy industry, and with Steve Baker, Plug is in good hands. Steve has embraced his role as the site manager for what would be North America’s very first operational green hydrogen plant located in Georgia. Daily operations for Steve include being responsible for running the plant home to the first 5MW electrolyzer, supporting and commissioning efforts for the plant’s liquefier, but most importantly managing a team who is changing the landscape of renewable energy.

His impact extends outside of the Georgia plant and into the community. Once Steve is done leading his team at Plug’s green hydrogen plant, he takes off the safety glasses and puts on a helmet. As an effort to take part in community outreach, he joined a semi-professional football team. As someone who enjoys athletics, he has seen major success, winning rookie of the year while playing both sides of the ball at offensive line and middle linebacker.

Finally, Steve’s most important team is his family. Outside of Plug, most of his time is spent with his wife and two children.
